MamaSell Ghana Ltd. (“MamaSell”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates Ghana’s premier independent multi-vendor marketplace. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy and personal data of our shoppers, sellers, and platform visitors in full adherence with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of the Republic of Ghana.

2. Information We Collect

To provide marketplace services, fulfill orders, and maintain security, we collect:

• Account Information: Name, email address, password hash, and contact phone number.
• Delivery Details: Shipping address, landmark, town, city, Ghana Postal GPS (digital address), and recipient phone number for courier dispatch.
• Transaction & Payment Data: Mobile Money network (MTN, Telecel, or AT Money), transaction reference numbers, payment status, and order totals. We never see or store your Mobile Money PIN or wallet secret code.
• Seller Verification (KYC): Registered business name, Ghana Card / ID verification, store description, and payout Mobile Money details for approved merchants.
• Usage Data: Device browser, IP address, search queries, and items added to your cart or saved items.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for legitimate marketplace operations, including:

• Processing purchases, coordinating seller fulfillment, and dispatching nationwide deliveries across all 16 regions.
• Sending automated order confirmations, payment receipts, and delivery tracking updates via SMS, WhatsApp, or email.
• Preventing fraudulent orders and securing Mobile Money collections and merchant disbursements.
• Providing responsive customer support through our official hotline (+233 54 638 7109) and WhatsApp support (+233 59 765 4220).

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

MamaSell does not sell, trade, or rent personal customer data. We share necessary details strictly with:

• Assigned Couriers: Customer delivery address, recipient name, and phone number for physical package handover.
• Verified Sellers: Item details and shipping city needed to pack your order.
• Licensed Telco Payment Rails: Secure Mobile Money API endpoints (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money) to collect and disburse funds.
• Legal Authorities: Only when strictly required by enforceable Ghanaian law or regulatory mandates.

5. Data Security & Retention

All data exchanged between your browser and MamaSell is protected with modern HTTPS encryption. Access to sensitive customer records is restricted by role-based authentication and CSRF-protected administrative controls. We retain account records as long as your account remains active or as required by commercial tax and transaction laws in Ghana.

6. Your Rights

Under the Data Protection Act (Act 843), you have the right to:

• Access, review, or update your personal account details via your Profile Settings.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete shipping information.
• Request account closure or data deletion by contacting our support team.
